February 2003 Success in Battalion Badminton   The 3rd's Badminton supremacy shone through last weekend in the Lennox & Argyle Battalion Badminton Competition. Cpl Andrew Currie & Private Ewan Dempster scooped 1st prize to regain the Seniors trophy for the 3rd. Well done chaps. Our junior pairings of Andrew Watson & Grant McFarlane and Colin Blackburn & Calum Paterson were unlucky both losing out to the eventual winners of the Junior event.

February 2003 Senior 5's Crash Out in Semi Finals   The mighty 3rd were sunk by stronger and perhaps mildly more streetwise teams in a series of tightly fought games for a place in the National Finals. Well done to the team of Iain MacMillan, Scott MacFarlane, Simon Irvine, Andrew Currie, Laurie Mackay, Sid and Calum Beaton for getting so far.

Christmass 2002 Company bid farewell to OiC Lt Niall Darroch   After a lengthy association with the 3rd as both boy and officer we bid a fond farewell to Mr Darroch. Niall’s enthusiasm for all things BB wise was infectious. His catchphrase "you pillock" will be sorely missed echoing round the halls on a Friday. Mr D takes up a photography course at Dundee Uni and will be biding in the fishing village of Crail. Who knows he may end up skirling his pipes in a Fife Company? All the best Mr D.
